Therapy

Dr Surridge was trained eclectically. This means that she received training on different therapeutic models, approaches and techniques. Her preference is to work using an integrative approach, bringing together ideas from different therapies in order to combine the techniques in a way that best tailors the treatment to suit each individual client.

 

Therapeutic approaches that inform her work include: Cognitive -Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT); Mindfulness; Psychodynamic ideas; Narrative approaches; Systemic approaches; Person-Centred techniques; Pre-Therapy work; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy techniques; The Solihull Approach; The Meriden Family Project Behaviour Family Therapy.
